Location

The Ryan Ranch Ranch is located in Plumas County, near the small community of Beckwourth, California. From Beckwourth the ranch can be accessed by traveling East on Hwy 70 to Cow Camp Rd and then travel South on Cow Camp approximately ½ mile. The Ryan Ranch is located in the renowned Sierra Valley which is said to be the largest Alpine Valley in the United States.

Description

The ranch has historically summered approximately 30 to 40 cow calf pairs. The feed is made up of meadow grass and sage that gets water from Sierra snowpack and sub water from nearby waterflows. The property is perimeter fenced and cross fenced into 2 fields. There is an old homestead and an old set of wood shipping pens. The soil is very productive and historically the ranch was nicknamed the potato patch because of it’s light soil and that it was regularly farmed to potatoes. There are multiple hay pivots bordering the property.
